Sullivan Hill supports the University of San Diego (USD) endowment fund through two established endowment accounts, the Lyle Jones Professorship and the James O. Sullivan Faculty Research Fund. The USD endowment fund helps bridge the financial gap for students as they pursue their educational and career dreams.
The Lyle Jones Professorship was started in 1977 by James O. Sullivan (“Jim”) who was a founding partner of Sullivan, Jones, and Archer and Sullivan Hill. Mr. Sullivan established a Chair in honor of Lyle L. Jones after his passing. The James O. Sullivan Faculty Research Fund was started in 2004 and created to be used at the discretion of the Dean to provide grants to faculty engaged in legal research, scholarship and/or teaching activities. It was established in memory of Jim Sullivan and was funded by Sullivan Hill and Blumenthal & Markham.
