International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated around the world every March 8, to honor the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This year’s campaign is #BreakTheBias, a call-to-action challenge to break the bias in our communities, schools, workplaces, and beyond. Individually, we are responsible for our thoughts and actions, and we can come together to take a stand against the biases that get in the way of women’s equality.
“Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead. Knowing that bias exists isn’t enough, action is needed to level the playing field.” – IWD Organization
