Shareholder Sharon Huerta will be one of the presenters at the California Lawyers Association (CLA) 2022 Annual Meeting for the program titled, “Hot Topics in Key Areas of Business Law,” where Ms. Huerta will speak to current insurance issues of interest. In this presentation, Ms. Huerta will be speaking as the Chair of the CLA Business Law Section’s (BLS) Insurance Committee, alongside experts from the BLS Commercial Transactions, Healthcare Law and Corporations Standing Committees, who will also be discussing emerging issues and hot topics in each practice area. The program will take place on Friday, September 16, at 2:15 p.m.
This year’s CLA Annual Meeting will take place on September 15-17 in San Diego, CA at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. The purpose of the conference is to bring California lawyers together for an opportunity to learn and connect.
CLA is a member-driven, mission-focused organization dedicated to the professional advancement of attorneys practicing in the state of California. Established in 2018, CLA is the new home of the Sections formerly part of the State Bar of California and the California Young Lawyers Association.
Ms. Huerta is a member of Sullivan Hill’s Insurance Coverage and Construction Law practice groups. She practices in all aspects of litigation, specializing in insurance coverage litigation and evaluation, bad faith, and developer representation. In addition, Ms. Huerta has significant experience in appellate writing and was primarily responsible for drafting briefs in numerous successful published and unpublished opinions, including Pulte Home Corp. v. American Safety Indem. Co., 14 Cal. App. 5th 1086 (2017); Pardee Construction Co. v. Ins. Co. of the West, 77 Cal. App. 4th 1340 (2000); and Emerald Bay Community Assn. v. Golden Eagle Ins. Corp., 130 Cal. App. 4th 1078 (2005).
