Shareholder Sharon Huerta will be presenting at the California Lawyers Association (CLA)’s 2021 Business Law Section Insurance Law Symposium: Insurance Law & Regulation For Non-Insurance Lawyers on Thursday, May 20, 2021. The program will present three virtual panels and provide 3 hours of MCLE credit. Ms. Huerta will be presenting from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the virtual panel titled, “Insurance Fundamentals: And You Thought You Didn’t Care!” The presentation will provide attorneys who do not handle insurance issues on a daily basis with the information they need to protect their clients’ interests in the event of loss. Ms. Huerta is a member of Sullivan Hill’s Insurance Coverage and Construction Law practice groups. She practices in all aspects of litigation, specializing in insurance coverage litigation and evaluation, bad faith, and developer representation. In addition, Ms. Huerta has significant experience in appellate writing and was primarily responsible for drafting briefs in numerous successful published and unpublished opinions, including Pulte Home Corp. v. American Safety Indem. Co., 14 Cal. App. 5th 1086 (2017); Pardee Construction Co. v. Ins. Co. of the West, 77 Cal. App. 4th 1340 (2000); and Emerald Bay Community Assn. v. Golden Eagle Ins. Corp., 130 Cal. App. 4th 1078 (2005).
