Gain a better understanding about public bid law for state and federal projects at the Public Bid Law 101 course taught by Shareholder Shay Kulkarni. The course will take place on Aug. 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the AGC San Diego. Mr. Kulkarni will explain applicable laws governing the process of bidding for and obtaining public works construction projects. Attendees will also learn about the practice and procedure for asserting or defending against a bid protest lawsuit.
Mr. Kulkarni is a shareholder in the Construction and Real Estate Litigation practice groups of Sullivan Hill. Having served as the chairman of the Construction Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association for two years, he currently serves on the Executive Committee of that group. He also serves as the Division 13 (Government Construction) Liaison to the Diversity Committee of the ABA Forum on Construction Law, and as a member of the NEXT Initiative of the Urban Land Institute. Mr. Kulkarni also proudly serves the San Diego community as an advisory board member and mentoring program co-chair for the Crawford Academy of Law program, and as a member of the Build and Serve Committee of the San Diego Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.
