Shareholder Sharon Huerta to speak at the Educational Seminar on “Insurance and Risk Avoidance” at the Building Industry Association (BIA) of San Diego on Wednesday, February 26, 2020. Attendees will get the latest update on the insurance marketplace, learn new strategies for distracted driving management, and learn how effective wrap insurance is in today’s environment. 

The BIA exists to represent the many companies that plan, design and build the countless places where San Diegans live, work and play. There are nearly 800 company members of the BIA along with numerous company member employees. Together they generate thousands of jobs in the greater San Diego region supporting BIA’s efforts to build all types of residential and commercial projects.

Ms. Huerta is a shareholder with Sullivan Hill and a member of the Insurance and Construction practice group. Ms. Huerta practices in all aspects of litigation, specializing in insurance coverage litigation and evaluation, bad faith, and developer representation. In addition, Ms. Huerta has significant experience in appellate writing and was primarily responsible for drafting briefs in numerous successful published and unpublished opinions, including Pulte Home Corp. v. American Safety Indem. Co., 14 Cal. App. 5th 1086 (2017); Pardee Construction Co. v. Ins. Co. of the West, 77 Cal. App. 4th 1340 (2000); and Emerald Bay Community Assn. v. Golden Eagle Ins. Corp., 130 Cal. App. 4th 1078 (2005).
