Congratulations to Shareholder Sharon Huerta for being appointed to serve a second term as Chair of the Insurance/Bad Faith Law Section of the San Diego County Bar Association (SDCBA). Ms. Huerta will serve for one year commencing in January 2021. The Insurance/Bad Faith Law Section addresses and promotes matters of interest with its members in the area of insurance coverage and bad faith law.
In addition, she has been elected to serve a second term as Vice Chair of the Insurance Law Committee of the Business Law Section (BLS) of the California Lawyers Association (CLA). The Insurance Law Committee serves as a forum to educate BLS members, members of the State Bar of California and the public in general on current issues and recent developments in insurance law.

Ms. Huerta is a shareholder with Sullivan Hill and a member of the Insurance and Construction practice group. Ms. Huerta practices in all aspects of litigation, specializing in insurance coverage litigation and evaluation, bad faith, and developer representation. In addition, Ms. Huerta has significant experience in appellate writing and was primarily responsible for drafting briefs in numerous successful published and unpublished opinions, including Pulte Home Corp. v. American Safety Indem. Co., 14 Cal. App. 5th 1086 (2017); Pardee Construction Co. v. Ins. Co. of the West, 77 Cal. App. 4th 1340 (2000); and Emerald Bay Community Assn. v. Golden Eagle Ins. Corp., 130 Cal. App. 4th 1078 (2005).
