Shareholder Chris Hawkins is a keynote speaker at the 38th Annual Real Property Law Section Spring Conference being held in Newport Beach on May 4 from 8 to 9 a.m.
Mr. Hawkins will discuss the chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization case of Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) pending in San Francisco. Sullivan Hill and the Singleton Law Firm, lead litigation counsel, are currently advocating for justice on behalf of the wildfire victims.
As one of the lead Sullivan Hill attorneys in the PG&E case, he will provide his insight and expertise as a bankruptcy and insolvency attorney to attendees.
The annual spring conference is a leading educational conference for California real estate practitioners featuring continuing legal education seminars, networking receptions and entertainment activities.
As former managing partner of Sullivan Hill and a member of the Executive Committee, Mr. Hawkins practices in the Insolvency and Commercial Bankruptcy, Business Transactions, and Commercial and Business Litigation practice groups. Within these practice areas, he represents a variety of corporate debtors, bankruptcy trustees, receivers, banks, trade creditors, asset purchasers and other parties in interest in all aspects of commercial insolvency, including bankruptcies, receiverships, and assignments for the benefit of creditors. He also represents clients with non-insolvency financial matters in both the transaction and litigation contexts.
Sullivan Hill’s Insolvency and Commercial Bankruptcy practice group has extensive experience in the representation of creditors, debtors, trustees, creditors’ committees and receivers. Our attorneys frequently advise clients in such diverse, yet related areas as creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, financial workouts and restructuring, judicial and statutory foreclosures, receiverships, and rights and remedies of creditors under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.
