Sullivan Hill Shareholder Jim Hill will serve as a panelist on The Intersection (Collision) of Bankruptcy and the Uniform Commercial Code program at the State Bar Annual Meeting on September 14 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at the Grand Hyatt San Diego. The program is sponsored by the State Bar of California’s Business Law Section, of which Mr. Hill serves on the Executive Committee.
As a panelist, Mr. Hill will discuss the intersection (or collision) of the commercial code and bankruptcy law, and will survey issues such as perfection pitfalls, preferences, fraudulent conveyances, reclamation rights, and rights of lien creditors in bankruptcy cases.
Mr. Hill focuses his practice on bankruptcy, insolvency and commercial law. His bankruptcy experience includes representation of creditors, bankruptcy trustees and examiners and bankruptcy debtors in Chapter 11 business reorganization cases. Additionally, he works regularly with clients on asset sales and acquisitions, state and federal court receivership cases and business workouts and dissolution matters among other commercial law matters. He is actively involved in the Bankruptcy Law and Commercial Law Sections of the San Diego County Bar Association, and is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy and commercial law matters.
