Candace Carroll, of counsel to Sullivan Hill, has been elected chair of the San Diego Convention Center Corporation Board of Directors for 2017. Ms. Carroll has served on the board since 2014; in 2016, she served as vice chair.
The San Diego Convention Center Corporation’s mission is to generate economic benefits for the greater San Diego region by hosting national and international conventions and trade shows in the world-class facility. The board is responsible for the Center’s management, maintenance, supervision, operation and all incidental or related matters. The board also develops, recommends and implements promotional and marketing programs on the Convention Center’s behalf.
Ms. Carroll is a highly-regarded appellate lawyer with more than 40 years’ experience handling appeals in the federal, state and bankruptcy appellate courts. She has chaired the boards of several other organizations, including those of the San Diego County Bar Association and of California Women Lawyers, the statewide women’s bar association.
