Summary

Kelsey Clayton is a member of Sullivan Hill’s Commercial and Business Litigation, Insurance Coverage, and Construction Law practice groups. Ms. Clayton’s practice is focused in the areas of commercial, business and real estate litigation, with an emphasis in construction and insurance coverage.

Ms. Clayton attended San Diego State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in 2015. She earned her Master of Public Health from UCLA School of Public Health in 2018, and her Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law in 2019. In law school she volunteered at the El Centro Legal Clinic where she worked with attorneys from the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles to help residents of Skid Row with various legal issues including tenancy rights. Ms. Clayton was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2019.

Outside of the office, Ms. Clayton enjoys competing in triathlons and performing aerial silks. She is also a proficient Spanish speaker.

Expertise

Prior to joining Sullivan Hill, Ms. Clayton worked at a business law firm in their Real Estate, Land Use, and Environmental practice group helping developer clients through the entitlement process and litigation matters. Her practice focused on land use matters where she worked with CEQA, the Subdivision Map Act, the Coastal Act, and various other local and state regulations affecting development. She also worked as a legal intern at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office where she assisted supervising attorneys with all stages of criminal proceedings.
