Prior to joining Sullivan Hill, Ms. Murphy worked for an insurance defense firm, where she defended cases involving personal injury and real estate transaction disputes. She also worked in a family law firm after law school, gaining significant pre-trial experience in complex, financial discovery and motion practice. In law school, she clerked with a workers’ compensation insurance defense firm, where she became the firm’s lien representative and was responsible for settling lien claims of various medical providers, including investigating claimed expenses and potential fraud based on relevant standards.

Ms. Murphy has successfully mediated many complex, multi-party auto accident and real estate cases involving claims for thousands of dollars against her clients in San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. She most recently successfully obtained a defense jury verdict in a trial involving an auto accident in San Bernardino Superior Court in August 2019. She also handled a large real estate transaction case in Orange County that involved multi-million-dollar fraud arising from a nefarious escrow company and included a criminal and civil component.
