Sullivan Hill Associate Yaniv Newman will attend the Swords to Plowshares 21st annual Veterans Day Dinner on Nov. 10 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. The annual dinner celebrates veterans who represent profiles of courage.
Mr. Newman is a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps for four years, including one tour of duty in Iraq in 2003. He is actively involved with Swords to Plowshares, and worked on the Iraq Veteran Project before attending law school. He joined the Board of Directors in 2014, where he currently sits as chair.
Swords to Plowshares is a community-based not-for-profit organization that provides needs assessment and case management, employment and training, housing and legal assistance to roughly 3,000 veterans in the San Francisco Bay Area each year.
